FRIENDS OF BRICKWORKS
WHO WE ARE We are a group of residents who greatly value the work of Brickworks Community Centre and aim to support, develop and ensure its continued success.
WHAT BRICKWORKS DOES Brickworks is a community centre managed by Hanley Crouch Community Association. It offers a range of services including food bank, after school club, holiday scheme, older people’s activities, and Stay and Play for the under-fives. It also provides a base for Centre 404, for people with learning disabilities; Special People; a community nursery; Brownies; dance and exercise classes; a knitting group; and much more besides. Advice services are also offered.
BECOME A FRIEND As a Friend, you’ll be helping us in a variety of ways: supporting our projects; helping in the office or kitchen; taking part in Brickworks events – or suggesting new ones. You could volunteer for a couple of hours a month or help us raise funds for the community centre, particularly the food bank.

WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN • Valuable work experience – working with others; developing your skills; and operating as part of a team. We can also help with the nitty gritty of CV writing and learning essential interview skills.

• The chance to meet new people, from all ages and backgrounds
• Use of Brickworks’ facilities. If you’re looking for a quiet place, somewhere to meet people, we’re here for you. We also offer rooms for hire, including our very special rooftop garden
