Friends of Brickworks

Brickworks Community Centre offers help and support where it’s needed most. We run a weekly food bank, after-school clubs, playgroups and social events and offer advice, support and much more.

Friends of Brickworks is a group of people who make regular donations to the community centre. We launched the scheme in 2023, at a time when welfare cuts and rising prices were hitting the most vulnerable in our community – and they still are. We have hosted a number of events such as a Talent Show, World Music day, community sing alongs and more.

Donations from the Friends help us fund our vital services – the most important of which is the food bank, which each week provides essential items for around 100 local households.

What do I get as a Friend?

The chance to meet people, make new friends, get work experience and play an active part in Brickworks life by joining projects or setting up your own. You can use Brickworks’ facilities, attend our social events – and receive community tickets to Sadler’s Wells. Above all, you’ll get the satisfaction of contributing to the local community.
